Fixing the economic crisis
The hotel proprietor takes the 100 dollar bill and runs to pay his debt to the butcher.
The butcher takes the 100 dollar bill, and runs to pay his debt to the hog farmer.
The hog farmer takes the 100 dollar bill, and runs to pay his debt to the supplier of his feed and fuel.
The supplier of feed and fuel takes the 100 dollar bill and runs to pay his debt to the town's prostitute that in these hard times, gave her "services" on credit.
The prostitute runs to the hotel, and pays off her debt with the 100 dollar bill to the hotel proprietor to pay for the rooms that she rented when she brought her clients there.
The hotel proprietor then lays the 100 dollar bill back on the counter so that the rich tourist will not suspect anything.
At that moment, the rich tourist comes down after inspecting the rooms, and takes his 100 dollar bill, after saying that he did not like any of the rooms, and leaves town.
No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now without debt, and looks to the future with a lot of optimism.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States government is doing business today.

Parkay, or die!
Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back. It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavorings..
DO YOU KNOW.. the difference between margarine and butter?
Read on to the end...gets very interesting!
Both have the same amount of calories.
Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams compared to 5 grams.
Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.
Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.
Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few
only because they are added!
Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.
Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years .
And now, for Margarine..
Very high in Trans fatty acids.
Triple risk of coronary heart disease ..
Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)
Increases the risk of cancers up to five fold..
Lowers quality of breast milk.
Decreases immune response.
Decreases insulin response.
And here's the most disturbing fact..... HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!
Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC..
This fact alone was enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).
You can try this yourself:
Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things:
* no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)
* it does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value ; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny microorganisms will not a find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic. Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?
Share This With Your Friends.....(If you want to 'butter them up')!
Chinese Proverb:
'When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.

What were they thinking?
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – The Oprah Winfrey-fueled free chicken give-away that caused pandemonium this week at Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants has been canceled due to what the fast-food chain called an "overwhelming response."
Roger Eaton, president of KFC in the United States said restaurants would no longer accept the free coupons for its new grilled chicken meal after Oprah's chat show promotion caused long lines around the nation.
"The lines of customers wanting to redeem their coupons have been out the door and around the block, so we're unable to redeem customer coupons at this time." Eaton said in a statement issued late Thursday.
KFC said millions of Americans had downloaded free coupons after the offer was featured on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and Web site on Tuesday, driving traffic to levels unseen in the brand's 50-year history.
Eaton apologized to customers for the cancellation of the scheme and said those who already had a coupon could get a rain check form to enable them to use it at a later date.
Did they think that, what, maybe a thousand people watch Oprah?

This is just a test?

Yesterday a jumbo jet flew circles over New York City. This was the president's back up Air Force One jet and it was accompanied by an F-16 fighter plane. Apparently they were doing a "photo op" getting pictures with the Statue of Liberty, apparently nobody knows how to use Photoshop in Washington.
People in the city obviously were freaking out thinking here go again. Several tall buildings were evacuated as a precaution.
Then when the story came out what had happened people were irate. Mayor Bloomberg was hot and President Obama apologized and said it shouldn't have taken place. Word is he had a heated exchange with the person who approved the operation. I didn't feel like looking up his name.
Here's the thing, was this possibly a disguised drill to test the people? We always did fire and tornado drills in school, why not a terrorist drill?
The NYC police department was notified by the military that this would take place and instructed to not tell anyone, including the mayor. In my opinion drills don't work when you know they're coming.
Judging how people reacted and people leaving buildings, I'd say the drill was a success. Sure it was cruel to scare people but I'm sure those people on 9/11 would have liked a drill.

Bad trends have a starting point
First, Rod Blagojevich is asking a judge today if can go to Costa Rica to do a television reality series. Here is a person who has been charged with serious federal crimes and is out on bond awaiting his trial, which may start next year sometime.
He governed the state of Illinois into the ground financially, made it a laughing stock and broke the trust of the people. Yet he continues to make a mockery of the whole situation by requesting to go on a game show. He needs the money.
If the judge, U.S. District Court Judge James Zagel, allows this idiot to participate in the show he too is making a mockery of the justice system and should be fired. What's next, mass murders playing on The Price is Right before hitting the gas chamber? Embezzlers as The Bachelor? Busted madams as the rose winners? The judge must deny this motion.
Secondly, over the weeked Miss California in the Miss Something Or Other pageant voiced her "opinion" that she was against gay marriage. For some reason the shit hit the fan and so many people are like, "How could she?"
Are people not allowed to have an opinion of their own? The greatness of this country is free speech. However, of late any controversial topic (i.e. gay marriage) that arisesunless you agree with it you're chastised. This young lady voiced her opinion and now she's the devil. What is wrong with people?
I'll tell you, they lack respect and that's the problem.
Update from Chicago Tribune:
A federal judge today denied permission to former Gov. Rod Blagojevich to travel to Costa Rica to participate in a reality TV show.
U.S. District Court Judge James Zagel called modifying the terms of Blagojevich's bail on political corruption charges "a bad idea."
Even if Blagojevich had a personal monitor, that person wouldn't have the authority to arrest him, Zagel noted. He also said Blagojevich needs to stick around to read the government's evidence, because only then will he be able to understand the jeopardy he is in.
Zagel added that he was sympathetic to Blagojevich's financial condition, but said there were others ways for him to earn money.
Outside court, after the hearing, Blagojevich told swarming reporters: "This is another day in the big city. I know what the truth is when it concerns me, and I know that I've done absolutely nothing wrong. ...I'm actually looking forward to this day in court. ...I want to prove my innocence, I want to vindicate myself."
When Blagojevich arrived at the Dirksen U.S. Courthouse in downtown Chicago this morning for the hearing, he said participating in the reality show would be "a way to earn a living and support my children.
"It's not my first choice, but it's a living," he said.
Asked later if his client was really broke, attorney Sheldon Sorosky said: "It shows he is an honest man."
Blagojevich's lawyers had asked permission for their client to travel to Costa Rica in June to be a contestant on NBC's "I'm a Celebrity ... Get me Out of Here!"
In a short-lived 2003 version of the show, contestants, among other things, had to put insects, worms and rats in their pants, sit in a tank of leeches and wade through a swamp populated by snakes and eels.
Blagojevich also is seeking the court's okay to use more than $2 million in his campaign fund to pay for his legal expenses. Zagel encouraged his attorneys to file a motion to that effect but said he believed Blagojevich should be allowed to do so. A hearing on that issue was set for May 1.

Blago loves poetry
The U.S. attorney's office in Chicago says that later today it is announcing developments in a significant investigation. Sources familiar with the situation said the announcement is expected to be the indictment of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich and others on corruption charges.
Blagojevich, 52, was arrested Dec. 9 and charged with engaging in pay-to-play politics in a sweeping federal complaint that accused him of trading state jobs, contracts and regulatory favors for campaign contributions.
The criminal complaint charged Blagojevich with attempting to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama and dangling the prospect of state help for the sale of Wrigley Field in return for the firing of Tribune editorial writers. The ballpark and newspaper are owned by Tribune Co.
The allegations included that he tried to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President Barack Obama. U.S. Atty. Patrick Fitzgerald said investigators moved quickly to stop a crime spree.
But in doing so, prosecutors had to charge Blagojevich in a criminal complaint, not an indictment. An indictment is necessary because defendants cannot be tried on criminal complaints, which are used only to initiate criminal cases.
Blagojevich has denied any wrongdoing.
There is some kind of irony or poetic justice that this man will be indicted as he frolics with Mickey Mouse at Disney World in Florida today.

R-rated joke, but funny
He walked over to a tree and propped up his gun.
Just then a gust of wind blew, the gun fell over, and discharged... Shooting him in the genitals.
Several hours later, lying in a hospital bed, he was approached by his doctor.
'Well sir, I have some good news and some bad news.. The good news is that you are going to be OK. The damage was local to your groin, there was very little internal damage, and we were able to remove all of the buckshot.' 'What's the bad news?' asked the hunter.
'The bad news is that there was some pretty extensive buckshot damage done to your penis. I'm going to have to refer you to my sister.' 'Well I guess that isn't too bad,' the hunter replied. 'Is your sister a plastic surgeon?' 'Not exactly.' answered the doctor.
'She's a flute player in the Syracuse Symphony. She's going to teach you where to put your fingers so you don't piss in your eye.'

Mofo is back!
Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich has a new gig -- as a Chicago radio host.
WLS-AM program director Bob Shomper says Blagojevich will be on the air from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday, taking calls from listeners, telling stories and talking with guests.
Shomper says it's a one-time deal in the slot normally filled by the "Don Wade & Roma Morning Show." The regular hosts are off this week.
In January, WLS offered Blagojevich his own weekend radio show if he agreed to resign as governor. Blagojevich didn't take the station up on that offer, and he was later ousted from office by Illinois lawmakers.
Blagojevich faces federal corruption charges that accuse him of attempting to sell President Barack Obama's former U.S. Senate seat, among other things. He denies any wrongdoing.
-- Associated Press
Why? This should be the final train wreck for this guy. I know ratings are so important to radio stations but WLS should be ashamed for giving this blowhard windbag two hours of air time.

Kids take it all in
A friend, who worked away from home all week, always made a special effort with his family on the weekends. Every Sunday morning he would take his 7-year old granddaughter out for a drive in the car for some bonding time. Just he and his granddaughter.
One particular Sunday however, he had a bad cold and really didn't feel like being up at all. Luckily, his wife came to the rescue and said that she would take their granddaughter out.
When they returned, the little girl anxiously ran upstairs to see her grandfather. 'Well, did you enjoy your ride with grandma?'
'Oh yes, PaPa' the girl replied, 'and do you know what? We didn't see a single dumb bastard or lousy shit head anywhere we went today!'
Brings a tear to your eye doesn't it...

What choo talkin' about!
The new name: Willis Tower.
Willis Group Holdings, based in London, didn't say when the name change would become effective, but said it got the naming rights as part of a deal to consolidate five area offices in the 110-floor tower that opened in 1974. That move will be completed by late summer.
But it's questionable whether anyone will call the 1,474-foot building--the city's most famous landmark--anything other than Sears Tower. Sears itself moved out to Hoffman Estates quite some time ago and sold it. It has been owned since 2004 by a real estate investment group. The Sears name was retained by the new owners.
The tower was the world's tallest building until 1996, when it was surpassed by the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This is quite stunning. I wonder if the name Chicago will be changed next?

Poor Michigan
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Michigan's high unemployment is no laughing matter, but Jay Leno will offer a little comic relief with a free show next month at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
The NBC "Tonight Show" host said on Monday's show the April 7 performance will be for "anybody out of work in Detroit."
People only have to say they're unemployed to get tickets.
Refreshments and parking also will be free when "Jay's Comedy Stimulus Plan" comes to the home of the NBA's Detroit Pistons.
Tickets will be available starting Monday at the Palace box office. Only four tickets will be allowed per person.
Michigan's unemployment rate has been among the highest in the nation. It was at 11.6 percent in January.
How is this going to help the people of Michigan? Jay's not that funny. What would be funny is if they didn't give all the tickets away.

Rush has lost it entirely
Rush Limbaugh, the radioactive Republican, has a dare for Barack Obama, the president:
"Debate me.''
Will somebody tell this guy the election is over. Why should Obama debate this gas passer?
I am an official opinion snob
People can voice their opinions on sports, politics, religion, entertainment, current affairs, etc. (Who was the first lazy writer to use etc. and why those three letters?)
With the internet there are so many forums where a person can leave their opinion. Many online newspapers and magazines have a a comment section at the end of a story to get people's opinions. Millions of everyday people like myself have a blog to show the world they have a voice and want to be heard. There are chat rooms and member forums on virtually every subject. Everybody has an opinion, well maybe not a mime as they never have anything to say.
Since I've had all this extra time the past month I find myself leaving comments/opinions on news stories, blogs, forums, and even Facebook pages of people I don't even know. I always use my name because I want to be heard. No alias or anonymous postings by this man.
In the last week or two, maybe longer, I have really noticed that the vast majority of people leaving their opinions have no clue what they're talking about AT ALL. We all think we're experts on something. I will honestly say I can only consider myself close to being an expert on sports. I'll throw out strong opinions on politics but I couldn't tell a left wing from a chicken wing, maybe it's the same thing.
I have great great respect for people who can convey a message, right or wrong, as long as they provide facts and information. This always helps to stimulate debate and conversation. The visitors to this blog and my brother's have good opinions and even though we yell at each other it has intelligence, well not Cubs fans on baseball.
But lately I'll go to write an opinion on something and the comments tell me not to even bother. Anything pertaining Obama is usually met with, "he's a crook, failure, racist, terrorist, liar or cheater" with no factual info. For some reason 95%, exaggeration, want to kill, maim or just really hurt Octomom. Every single politician is a crook, might be true. Madonna, Angelina, Jessica Simpson are all labelled skanky whore and you can't pay any guy to sleep with them.
My point is this. The saying of opinions are like noses, we all have one is true. Oh wait, not Michael Jackson. I am not going to argue any longer with the stupid morons on the internet. They don't hear anybody anyway. I am officially an opinion snob.
