Birds of a feather, flock together

Impeached Gov. Rod Blagojevich has hired a public relations firm whose specialties include crisis management as part of his last-ditch national media blitz before the Illinois Senate begins its trial to consider removing him from office.

Blagojevich hired The Publicity Agency for "his dealings with the news media that are outside the scope of his job as governor," according to a news release issued by the firm. A Blagojevich spokesman said he was unaware that the governor had hired an outside P.R. agency.

Among the clients listed at the firm's Web site are former Bolingbrook police sergeant Drew Peterson, who is suspected in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, and Drew Peterson's attorney, Joel Brodsky. Drew Peterson has denied any involvement in his wife's disappearance and recently announced his engagement.

With each passing day Blagojevich loses one more marble. Why would this firm even touch him?
